Aggregated Fund Series Charts

Global Fund Selector

Global Fund Selector

This list box contains all available funds in the PPM system. Its purpose is to allow selection of individual funds among all the graphed funds below.

The text entry field at the top allows for filtering the list. Accepts regular expressions. Case-insensitive matching.

One can search for funds that:

  • Contain a pattern anywhere in the name (e.g., "ABC" matches "ABC Fund", "Fund ABC", "XABCY")
  • End with a pattern (e.g., "Fund$" matches "Growth Fund", "Value Fund")
  • Start with a pattern (e.g., "^SW" matches "SW Global", "SW Tech")
  • Match complex patterns (e.g., "SW.*Global" matches "SW International Global")

Example Usage:

  • SW - matches any fund containing "SW" anywhere
  • ^SW - matches funds starting with "SW"
  • Global$ - matches funds ending with "Global"
  • SW.*Tech - matches funds containing "SW" followed by "Tech" with any characters in between
  • (Growth|Value) - matches funds containing either "Growth" or "Value"

After a number of funds have been selected it’s possible to highlight them in the existing charts in this page (“Apply Selection”) and to collect all the highlighted in one single chart for a better view to compare the selected funds (“Overlay Selected”).

It is also possible to select funds directly in the various fund series charts and to display the collected in one single chart (“Overlay Isolated”).

Buttons

  • Apply Selection - Applies the selected funds to the charts and dims the rest so as to highlight particular funds.
  • Reset Selection - Clears all selections form the list box and the fund series charts
  • Overlay Selected - Collects all list box selected and applied funds into one single chart and overlays it above the existing view.
  • Overlay Isolated - Collects all isolated funds from the fund series charts into one single chart and overlays it above the existing view.

Fund series charts

These diagrams show all available funds from the PPM system spread out over a number of charts with 17 fund series in each.

All fund values have been normalized against the last available date for the fund and had log10 operation applied to it Thus the values for all funds at the last available fund value date is zero. This make it very easy to compare all funds against each other over time. If the fund values on the left are negative it means that the fund value has increased and vice versa. The lower the fund series plot line compared to the latest date the better the performance has been for that particular fund.

The charts allow some operations. Notable examples include:
